The Best Pillow for A Good Nights Sleep

Choosing the right pillow may be very vital in accomplishing restful sleep. A proper pillow will help the top and neck with out applying immoderate strain, as it conforms to the precise shape of the bed, as a result spreading the weight frivolously and uniformly alongside the vertebrae. Pillows are a constant supply of frustration for many. In addition to aggravating the neck, plenty of pillows also can have an effect on the shoulder. The shoulder ought to not be positioned at 90 tiers to the bed, due to the fact it can cause spasms inside the trapezius muscle mass.Trapezius muscle mass perform a variety of actions, including acting as a platform to elevate the cranium, which is very important to relax in the course of sleep completely. If the shoulder is located barely ahead at the mattress in the front of the mattress, assuming that the mattress can keep this role, the threat of placing stress on the trapezius and forcing the scapula (shoulder blade) to the column is decrease...

How To Make a Split Monogram For A Dollar Store Tote

Image
I bought these totes at the dollar store, knowing that I'd be able to do something with them eventually.  And then I got a cricut.  YAY!  Now I must cricut absolutely everything, to justify the cost of this thing.  :-) I knew I wanted to put a monogram on them, but I wanted to do a "split" monogram, and it took me a bit to figure out how to do that.  This was the first I have used the weld and split features - I didn't even know they were there until I tackled this project.  You'll find them on the bottom right of your cricut design screen.  They will be faded out until you select two images at he same time. I started with a T  - for Truckenmiller.  5x5 works nicely on these totes.  I used the Imprint Mt Shadow font for the T. Next use the shape tool, and choose Square.  Unlock the shape (bottom left) and you can stretch it into a rectangle.  I like to keep the rectangle just about as wide as the letter. Now is when you "weld" ...

The "Big" Annual Geocaching Events

Image
There was an interesting thread on a facebook group recently, that started me on a search for some of the bigger events, and some that are not necessarily the biggest, but were of interest for other reasons. If you are  a geocacher planning out your vaction time for next year, below is a list of dates and locations to keep in mind.  :-) Curious about what to expect at a geocaching event?  I wrote about our experiences at different events here :  http://fieldsofhether.blogspot.com/2017/05/geocaching-events.html I know my list below is nowhere near complete - please let me know what I am missing! First, an explanation of Event sizes: Mega Event -  "Mega-Event status must be applied for yearly and is ultimately determined by Geocaching HQ. To be considered for Mega-Event status, Will Attends must surpass 500. It is uncommon for a first-time event to qualify for Mega-Event status. But, once an event has achieved Mega-Event status, organizer...

What I've Been Reading In The First Half of 2017

Image
According to Goodreads, I've read 30 books so far this year.  That puts me significantly behind in my goal of 100 books in 2017, but I'm not really concerned about the numbers.  I often check reviews on Goodreads before I start a new book, but more and more I wish there was an option to filter out the "I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review".  Is it just me, or are those reviews skewing the true numbers?  I've read through way too many lately, where everyone who "received a free copy" raved over the book, and then those who are not receiving free books were at the opposite end, hating the book.  I know everyone's taste is different, but lately I have noticed that happening a lot more.  I'm not so sure the "honest reviews" are as honest as they would be if they weren't hoping to receive more free books. My Favorite Reads So Far This Year: Looking at the covers, I do believe this is the most diverse my fa...

The First Week-end of June 2017

Image
When I asked Dan what he wanted to do this week-end, he replied "everything", as if he hadn't been married to me for 25 years and had no idea what he would be in for.  LOL!  We SHOULD have stayed home and worked on 5 gazillion farm projects, but we decided the work could wait until Monday - we burn out if we spend too much time not making nearly enough progress on the farm, so we stretch our work days out more this year.  With all this rain, there's only so much we can do anyway. I started my Saturday with book club at the Rose Hill library.  We discussed Rogue Lawyer, which I really enjoyed.    I haven't read Grisham in a long time.  Years ago I read everything he wrote as fast as he wrote it, but then they all started to feel a bit like the same novel for awhile, so I stopped reading his books until this one was a book club selection.  This is why I love book clubs, they get me to read things I may not chose on my own.  Next month we will d...

Our First Intercache

Image
What is an intercache?   It's very similar to a Wherigo, but with a smoother interface, and no cartridge to download. From the intercaching website:   "An intercache is a new way of creating a mystery geocache, where you can string together a combination of virtual and physical waypoints together. The entire geocache can be developed, edited, and played on your mobile phone's browser with no software required to download!" We found our first intercache while in upper NY state for theAllegany State Park Geobash this May.  I always love wherigos, so I was anxious to check out this new intercache interface. And I love it. The first screen - we clicked on the arrow beside "location #1" to proceed. Unlike wherigos, there are no cartridges to download.  You simply click on the link, and follow the directions.  The one we did was in a cemetery.  It would tell us to go to certain coordinates (that arrow moves like a compass) and when you were in range, you would an...
