The Best Pillow for A Good Nights Sleep

Choosing the right pillow may be very vital in accomplishing restful sleep. A proper pillow will help the top and neck with out applying immoderate strain, as it conforms to the precise shape of the bed, as a result spreading the weight frivolously and uniformly alongside the vertebrae. Pillows are a constant supply of frustration for many. In addition to aggravating the neck, plenty of pillows also can have an effect on the shoulder. The shoulder ought to not be positioned at 90 tiers to the bed, due to the fact it can cause spasms inside the trapezius muscle mass.Trapezius muscle mass perform a variety of actions, including acting as a platform to elevate the cranium, which is very important to relax in the course of sleep completely. If the shoulder is located barely ahead at the mattress in the front of the mattress, assuming that the mattress can keep this role, the threat of placing stress on the trapezius and forcing the scapula (shoulder blade) to the column is decrease...

The Who, What, When, Where, and How of Cloud Storage

Image
WHO has the best free cloud storage? My favorites are: Dropbox , Google Drive , Box , & Google Photos .   I personally find one drive and the amazon cloud annoying - but they are also good options All of these offer programs for on your computer, your phone, and web based access.  All of them offer free storage, and all of them make sharing your files, or keeping them private, easy. WHAT to store in Cloud Storage No storage is fool proof.  I keep an external hard drive, and various cloud storage, and I try to keep things backed up both places.  Both can fail - external hard drives can go back, clouds can go out of business (Copy was a favorite of mine that no longer exists.. but I had plenty of time to get my files out before they closed) Genealogy - folders for each family surname, with subfolders for family members, containg documents and photos and everything related to genealogy research! Documents - The Christmas card list, pets vet records, the kids high...

Using FontLab Pad with Cricut Design Space

Image
https://old.fontlab.com/content/blogcategory/40/364 (you just need the free download) One of the many limitations of design space is it's inability to properly space some fonts - as the designers wished for them to space.  This is how the buttercup font looks when used in design space: On some fonts you can just change the letter spacing. But on many, like this one, some letters would overlap and some would still not touch.  You can ungroup, and manually move each letter... but fontlabpad is much faster. Open fontlabpad, choose File/Open Installed: Type in the name of the font you want to use: Type your text -  Then choose file/Save As - and save as an svg. Open design space, upload the image.  See how the background is checked?  That's because this is an svg - no need to clean it up at all. This is how it imports in design space.  If you are cutting, be sure to select all and weld so that it cuts as one word and not each individual letter. It seems ...

How To See Thumbnails Of SVG Files

Image
The Cliff Notes Version - Use the svg viewer extension found here: https://code.google.com/archive/p/svg-explorer-extension/downloads I use a laptop running Windows 10, so my screenshots are based on that operating system, with chrome as my default browser.   This has been driving me nuts since I first started working with my cricut machine earlier this fall.  My laptop displayed the thumbnails of svg files as Chrome icons (Chrome is my default web browser) and to see the file, I had to open it.  I really wanted to be able to browse through my collection of downloaded svgs, without opening each one. A few google searches finally took me to an SVG viewer extension.  https://code.google.com/archive/p/svg-explorer-extension/downloads The very top one will work for most of you - if you are running Windows 10 If you don't know if you are running 32bit or 64 bit, go to Control Panel (in your start menu, choose windows system, control panel will be in there) and click ...

Which Apps & Websites To Use With Cricut -

Image
This is not an app or website, but rather an extension that makes the thubnails of svgs appear as previews, and not just an html icon http://fieldsofhether.blogspot.com/2018/01/how-to-see-thumbnails-of-svg-files.html Want to identify a specific font? Use “what the font”.  Web   Android Apple What the font almost never works for me - but I have seen others get excellent results!  I think it depends on the font. WordMark.it Want to see what your saying will look like in various fonts? Use:r WordMarkIt Web THIS is my favorite site.  It makes it SO much faster to choose a font!! Want to place a watermark over your pics? Use: the app “snap seed”.  Android   Apple Want free fonts? Use: fontzillion or Dafont.com    (Do NOT add an S to Dafont.)  Remember that you do not open fonts in Design Space.  You install them to your computer, then design space can see all of your installed fonts.  Download file, unzip, find your computers font file...

Windows Snipping Tool - Replaces "print screen"

Image
Have you seen the new "Snipping Tool" in Windows 10?  It's REALLY handy.  Now instead of hitting the print screen button, opening a graphics program, pasting the image, then cropping it and saving it, this tool does it all in a few less clicks. It's found under Windows Accessories in your start menu.  I dragged it to the right and created a new tile for it, as you can see above.  You could also drag it down as a short cut in the bottom toolbar. To use it, click on the app, and a little tiny box pops up.  Select the part of the screen you want to crop, then name your save. That's it.  SUPER quick. There's a more in depth tutorial here -  https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/13776/windows-use-snipping-tool-to-capture-screenshots
